The popular rap star Kanye West was recently admitted to UCLA Medical Center on the grounds of being mentally unstable. TMZ reports that the artist has been an “emotional wreck” following the robbery of Kim Kardashian’s home in Paris, and his long battle with depression has only gotten worse.

Despite this, Kardashian has been at Kanye’s side almost non-stop. She claims that the only time she left him was to see the kids.

It has been a week since he was reluctantly introduced to the California institution after some bizarre antics during his Saint Pablo Tour, including rants aimed at Jay Z and Beyoncé criticizing their marriage and celebrity lifestyles. The remainder of the tour was cancelled after his episodes.

Audience members were shocked by West’s sudden outburst of emotion, as they were expecting nothing more than one of his usual shows. Instead, he started to shout things like “I told y’all I didn’t vote, right? But if I would have voted, I would have voted on Trump.”

“I am putting my career, my life, my public well-standing at risk when I talk to y’all like this,” West told a confused crowd, according to The Times. “I’ve been sitting here to give y’all my truth even at the risk of my own life. Even at the risk of my own success, my own career. I’ve been sitting here to give y’all the truth.”

The hip-hop star was not released from the UCLA Medical Center on Monday as originally anticipated, as he still has not been deemed stable by the facility’s medical staff, and continues to struggle with paranoia. He even refused to let doctors touch him earlier in his stay.

Gus Eckert (11) said, “Kanye West always seemed a little off to me,” when asked what he thought about the recent event. “I never really liked his music, and all of those really weird things he says on Twitter kind of bothered me,” he added.

Only a week after his admittance to the hospital, one of West’s celebrity friends, Wiz Khalifa, was discovered sending marijuana to West in the hospital he’s staying. He claims that his “psychedelic remedy” will help to cure the star’s recent mental breakdown. However, one thing is for sure, the media attention isn’t helping West calm down anytime soon.
