Serving their second year with West Signals, Enrique De La Cruz is a senior and Spotlight and Opinion Editor. They love to stress the importance of the press when it comes to informing the public about healthcare policy and hope to uncover unpopular opinions that make a positive change on society. Aside from West Signals, they enjoy watching every drop of solution they pipette fall into petri dishes with cell cultures at their internship at the Lundquist Institute for Biomedical Innovation at Harbor-UCLA and host podcasts about medical literacy with professors in biomedicine. In their free time, Enrique relishes a good Swedish Duolingo lesson, reading British mystery novels, and a cup of spiced chai latte. They hope to someday become a leading public health expert, changing lives by spreading new medical knowledge.
