This Halloween, treat yourself to this spooky snack that’s super cute and simple to make! Thanks to notquitenigella.com, all you need to do is follow these three easy steps and you’ll be able to make your own voodoo doll cookies.

Materials:

170g/6 oz butter, softened

280g/10 oz white caster superfine    sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla/12 oz all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon finely ground tea leaves (optional)

A gingerbread man cutter

Parchment paper

Icing pens with various colours and tips-the glitter ones are good for drawing needles

Red food coloring and small red cutter for heart

(You can find all of these materials at your local grocery and craft store)

Step 1: Mix the butter and sugar in a large bowl until it is smooth and creamy. Add in the eggs and vanilla and tea leaves if you chose to use them. Once you’re done, cover the top and chill the dough for at least an hour in the refrigerator.

Step 2: Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius/400 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll out the dough until it’s at least 1/3 inch thick. Take your cookie cutter and stick it in the dough to form the shape of the cookies. Place your cookies 1 inch apart on a parchment paper and bake for 10-12 minutes. Let them set and cool completely before moving on to Step 3.
