Partying hard in the springtime? Family barbecues, farewell parties, and tons of other social gatherings are great ways to have fun, but imagine the mess and extra party supplies lying around in your house after everything is over. That’s enough to give you a headache. Instead of throwing the bulk of items away, how about putting that junk into use in a cool way? From boredepanda.com, this DIY teaches you how to make your very own household utility or decor using common and cheap items in 5 steps.

Materials:

  • a two liter soda bottle, or any big water bottle.
  • lots of white plastic spoons
  • a bulb
  • something sharp for cutting
  • hot glue gun

Step 1: Cut off the handle from the spoons using something sharp, X-acto™ knife preferred.

Step 2: Cut of the bottom of the bottle.

Step 3: Glue the cut spoons on the bottle as if they were like shingles on a roof. After its done, the bottle will look like it has a scaly texture.

Step 4: Once you get to the mouth of the bottle, the spoons should be glued like a ring. This will be fit on the mouth of the bottle.

Step 5: Fit the bulb through the hole in the bottle cut out previously and close the bottle back.

And there’s your beautiful lamp!
