Long Live Wyatt Eddy
-
September 26, 2022 marks the one year anniversary of the passing of West High freshman Wyatt Eddy. In his honor, a paddle out was organized by his friends and family on the crisp morning of September 10 at Torrance Beach. Local food trucks, legendary surfers, vintage cars, and close family friends came together to remember Eddy. The atmosphere was filled with meaningful embraces and heartfelt words. Eddy is deeply missed.

Eddy’s vintage Ford pickup truck was at the paddle out, trunk full of “Long Live Wyatt Eddy” stickers and bracelets. The stickers have a QR code, and when scanned, tags the location of the scan so the Eddy family can see where Eddy has “traveled”. In a way, Eddy is experiencing the beauty of the world through the stickers. His family and friends will always carry Eddy in their hearts.
