To all writers, photographers, and students who have a passion for journalism: West High’s Smoke Signals is now recruiting staff members for the 2017-2018 school year.

 Smoke Signals is the online school newspaper that publishes articles on a weekly basis while teaching students how to think and report like real journalists.

  New staff members will include photographers, writers, and other pending positions such as business managers, tech support, digital artists, and more.

  Staff Writers and Photographers will be able to attend all non-CIF games, School Plays, and any school functions (excluding dances) for free, but these benefits are included for reporting purposes only and may not be abused.

  The class itself takes place during 6th period, but freelance positions are also offered.
