Ayleen Zavala (12) delivers an oral interpretation incorporating multiple perspectives of society relative to the sexualization and social status of Latina women. She referenced the behavior of men in society when it came to their treatment of this group of people. Using this performance, she intended to empower Latinas to fight against those who believe they are superior to these women.
Cambridge Dictionary defines “photography” as “the activity or job of taking photographs or filming.” However, this definition fails to emphasize photography’s remarkable potential to freeze time and capture one specific moment for future generations. It enables us to pay particular attention to the finest details and forever cherish the moment.
Learning new study skills can be life changing. Light turning on a light bulb, it can make all the difference.
Political Club attracted new members by their interactive stand at West High’s Club Rush. PC hopes to provide students with a greater insight into the political scene so that they can make well-informed decisions as they employ their voices to the world. The photo portrays Qinghan Jia (12) of West High School. Jia recently received a semi-finalist position in the National Merit Scholarship Program, which provides students with opportunities to gain scholarships. Jia hopes to become a finalist in the program, his journey portraying the fruits of diligence and hard work to other students.
Mr. Stuckey, is the new assistant principal of West High School. His previous positions in education have helped him create a greater learning environment. He hopes to provide students with various opportunities to enjoy their high school experiences to the fullest.
