“Jonny don’t go!” Girls were fawning over Jonny, the new Romeo on campus, exclusively at Zombie Prom, the West High School spring musical.

“Interesting and weird, the new headlines for Zombie Prom,” West High student, Robert Larez (9), commented on the spring musical that is set to be a spin off on Grease.

From a horror movie enthusiasts perspective, such as myself, West High Play Production put on a stellar performance on what should be considered a cult classic for musicals.

Set in the 1950’s, Zombie Prom was a blast from the past filled with nuclear plants, strict principals with secrets, zombies, puns, and the ever-important teenage love.

“Everything about this play was so well put together… I really enjoyed it. The set was amazing and the acting was great. I enjoy the horror genre and felt that this was very appropriate for the time period,” commented Jacob Millinder (11).

“I liked the plot twist and the dynamic between characters,” commented Kylia Dearbone (11). Yes, there was a plot twist! Be sure to watch the whole play to catch the plot twist.

Opening night was sold out (April 4, 2017) along with the Friday performance (April 7, 2017). Saturday April 8, is the last show date. Be sure to purchase your ticket in ASB in order to ensure a seat at the musical, otherwise tickets can be purchased at the door. Congratulations to all the cast members of Zombie Prom.

Be sure to catch the play before it’s too late.
