February 24, 2017
The alternative rock band called Red Hot Chili Peppers are currently on tour in the US for their newest albums that was released in 2016, ‘The Getaway’.
Red Hot Chili Peppers formed in 1983 in Los Angeles. They started off being a funk rock band then later changed to many different types of genres and reaching to alternative rock.
A fan of the band, Ryan Linderman (11) said, “I do enjoy their music, I love the fact how they change their genres because they open a whole new door every time into music and that’s how I discovered most of my music… it would have been really cool to go to a concert and very memorable.”
Anthony Kiedis, the lead singer for the band, tore a tendon in his ankle recently on stage. Kiedis told ET Canada, “I’m always getting banged up, and hurt, and repairing, and recovering, and hurting, and it’s just normal.” He further than said, “At the moment, I have a torn tendon in my ankle from spinning around night after night, but it’ll heal.”
Mrs. Sagastume, a Spanish two and three teacher, said “It’s amazing how he’s still up there on stage performing with an injury, most people his age wouldn’t have done that.”
The first show was on January 5, in San Antonio Texas and their last show is set to be on June 10 in Chicago Illinois. Yosalin Trujillo (10) said, “I wish my father got tickets to their concerts but they were selling out so quickly… Their music means alot to me because me and my father bond well with their music so if him and I would have bonded more if I went to their concert.”
When you buy a concert ticket from their tour, every ticket you buy you get a their album free. Trujillo also commented on that and said, “It’s
only fair because the tickets are so expensive. That’s pretty cool on how they give their new album for free.”
Red Hot Chili Peppers used to be on hiatus after their ‘I’m With You’ Tour in 2011 and now fans are happy that they’ve come back on stage to perform again.
