November 5, 2015
Ready to make your house toasty warm for the holidays? Try baking some Thanksgiving cupcakes. These yummy cupcakes are decorated to look like a turkey. These cupcakes come complete with candy and the holiday taste of the cupcake. Thanksgiving turkey cupcakes are easy and simple to make, especially with this DIY.
Supplies
Chocolate cream cheese frosting
Candy corn
M&Ms
White edible food marker
Orange rainbow chip
Any cake mix that you enjoy
Cupcake pan
Cupcake paper
To start off, preheat oven to 350 degrees, then prepare the cake mix traditionally. Be sure to follow the instructions on the back of the cake mix box for the best result. Once you have finished preparing the cake mix , put the cupcake papers in each of the cupcake holes in the cupcake pan.
Next you should pour a full tablespoon of cake batter into the cupcake papers. Put the cupcake pan into the oven and let it bake as instructed on the cake mix box.
Once the cupcakes are fully cooked take them out of the oven carefully. Place the cupcake pan on a clean surface. Let the cupcakes cool down enough to touch them. Once they have cooled down enough take the cupcakes out of the cupcake pan and place them on a clean surface (preferably a cutting board).
Now time for the fun part! To decorate these festive cupcakes you should begin with the chocolate cream cheese frosting. Use that to make the body of the turkey, you want to make a circle big enough to fit a face on it. Now put two M&Ms in the middle of the circle to make the eyes. Use the white edible food marker to dot the eyes. Next you put the candy corn around the top side of the cupcake (above the eyes) to make the feathers. Also use one candy corn to make the nose of the turkey, be sure that the candy corn is upside down. Finally, place the orange rainbow chip below the nose for the wattle, this too should be upside down because it is heart shaped. Eat and enjoy!
