Boys Water Polo Takes on the Torrance Tartars and the North Saxons

After an impeccable save from Rey De La Torre (11) #1, the Warriors race to the end of the pool, hoping for a quick counter attack against the Tartars.

After the tough game against the Tartars, Varsity Co-Captain Ken Karakaki (12) highlights the positives: “I can have fun even in [these] tough moments [since] I have a team that I really connect with.” Karakaki also expressed that he “tends to do better because [he’s] more motivated to work hard for the team.” The motivation and hard work must have paid off, because West won 10-6 vs Torrance.

Varsity Co-Captain Arsani Ghobrial (12) #17 wades in the pool before the game against Torrance. He “enjoys the team chemistry” of the team; no matter how tiring the lengthy practices or the high-intensity games are, he is “happy to be their team captain.”

The Warriors take on the North High Saxons for the second game of the week. Both confident and well-rested, the Warriors went on to dominate the entire match, with a final score of 21-2.
