Stage Coach

If only Coachella lasted forever….
The thought crossed the minds of all of those who recently attended the popular music festival in Indio, California. However, festival lovers along with country music fans united at Stagecoach for a weekend filled with music, food, and even a Ferris wheel! The festival was held from April 29, 2016 – May 1, 2016 at the same location as Coachella.

Stagecoach was founded by Paul Tollett in 2007 and has been held at the Empire Polo Club ever since. It’s a music festival geared towards the country music community, ranging from bluegrass, alternative country, mainstream country, and folk. Nick Trevino (12) would definitely describe himself as a country fan. He stated that “country music is awesome. I’d love to go to and see all of the different acts perform.”

Stagecoach brought thousands of music fans together for a music-filled weekend. The artist lineup included many popular artists like Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood, and The Band Perry performing their biggest hits. Mario Youssef (12) thought Stagecoach is a great music festival that suits the likings of all people, no matter what genre of music they favor. He compares the experience to that of other popular music festivals. To Youssef,
“stagecoach is so cool; it looks like a mini Coachella.”

Although some may be skeptical or doubting that the country festival isn’t exactly “their scene,” rest assured that Stagecoach is the type of festival one can attend and feel like family among the thousands of fans. Ashley Hong (12) gushed about loving the idea of “[attending the festival] one day. It’s more geared towards country music but it has a lot of variety for everyone to enjoy.” If you’re thinking about attending to Stagecoach next year, be on the lookout for the lineup and ticket info around January of next year. Be sure to hurry; the festival sells out fast!
